Disability allowance
The disability allowance provides for the promotion of the social inclusion and equal opportunities of persons with disabilities.

Persons with:
- severe or profound intellectual disability
- severe physical disability
- completely blind persons
- completely deaf persons
- Eligibility criteria:
The person must be at least 26 years of age, but not older than 65,
Persons with severe or profound intellectual disability exercise the right to disability allowance based on a permanent finding, assessment and opinion on the type and degree of disability, issued by a competent authority.
The right to disability allowance shall be exercised based on a consultant opinion issued by a first instance panel composed of three specialist doctors from a relevant tertiary healthcare institution.
In a procedure upon a complaint against the finding of the first instance panel concerning the exercise of the right to disability allowance, a second instance panel composed of three specialist doctors from a relevant tertiary healthcare institution, who have not been involved in the consultant opinion in the first instance, shall issue its finding and opinion.
- Amount of the benefit:
The amount of the monthly disability allowance is:
- MKD 7,204 (seven thousand two hundred and four) for a person with severe or profound intellectual disability, severe physical disability and completely blind person
- MKD 4,117 (four thousand hundred and seventeen) for a completely deaf person.
- Time limits for exercise and termination of the right:
A person placed in an extrafamilial care institution for a period over 30 days, foster family, organized supported living, or in a healthcare or other institution shall not be able to exercise this right for the duration of the placement.
A person who is a beneficiary of civil or military disability allowance shall not exercise the right to disability allowance.

Consultant opinion/finding for the exercise of the right to allowance due to disability in the first degree
Consultant opinion/finding for the exercise of the right to allowance due to disability in the second degree
Statement, written consent of the applicant concerning the use of his/her personal data in the procedure
Application for ex officio collection of data

1. Valid personal identity card of the citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia, personal identification card for permanent residence of a foreign national, personal identification card of a recognized refugee or a personal identification card for a person under subsidiary protection, which is only presented in order to prove the identity and the nationality;
2. Birth certificate of the parent;
3. Birth certificate of the child;
4. Marriage certificate;
5. Certificate issued by the competent court that the parental responsibility of the parent has not been removed;
6. Certificate from the Employment Service Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia that the parent has the status of an unemployed person;
7. Certificate from the Pension and Disability Fund of North Macedonia that the parent, upon completing 62 years of age for women, i.e. 64 years of age for men, is not exercising the right to pension benefit
The Social Work Centre collects the documents referred to in items 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 ex officio.
