1. Support for self-employment (entrepreneurship)

Purpose of the measure

Support to unemployed persons to start their own business

Target group

Unemployed persons registered with ESARNM

Amount of financial support

Up to MKD 307,500 or up to MKD 615,000 (in case of establishment of a legal entity by two members).

Beneficiaries

• Unemployed young people up to 29 years of age
• Unemployed persons with disabilities
• Unemployed persons
• Unemployed women belonging to vulnerable and marginalized groups
• Unemployed persons who like to formalize their business
• Unemployed Roma
• Persons who are unemployed due to the Coronavirus

Manner of application

Public call/Notification, Referral from the register of unemployed persons, Application, and Questionnaire for assessment of entrepreneurial aptitude.

Criteria

The selection of the candidates for participation in the programme shall be competitive, according to the following criteria:

• Successfully filled in questionnaire;
• Developed extended business plan (with special emphasis on the competition analysis and SWOT analysis of the candidate) with consultative support;
• Business plan positively assessed by an expert committee;
• Persons with disabilities who shall be selected to register a legal entity with support from the programme will be provided an opportunity to follow on-line training on "Entrepreneurship and development of entrepreneurial skills";

The companies established by persons with disabilities, provided they have selected sustainable business plan providing for creation of additional jobs, will be supported with additional employment;

The programme shall be implemented taking into account the regional representation as defined in the operational guidelines.

Mentorship for persons with disabilities in the duration of at least 120 hours for development of the positively assessed business plans.
