The youth allowance may be used by a young person up to 23 years of age who fulfills the following conditions:

• the person is covered by mandatory social insurance on the grounds of employment for an employer or self-employment with manufacturing as a primary activity. • the person is employed by a private employment agency and assigned to a beneficiary employer with primary manufacturing activity or
• the person is covered by mandatory social insurance in a capacity of individual farmer.

The youth allowance amounts to MKD 3,000 for full-time employment, taxable by personal income tax and paid monthly on the transaction account of the young person no later than the 25th day of the month for the preceding month(s).

The young person exercises the right to youth allowance upon filing an application to the competent Employment Centre, according to the place of residence of the young person, provided the young person meets the eligibility requirements.

The Employment Service Agency provides data on the compliance with the eligibility requirements ex officio.
